Day 4 - Saguenay National Park / Saguenay-Saint-Laurent Marine Park
Early breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Saguenay Marine Park, about 2 hrs drive from Quebec City through the bucolic Charlevoix region. Installation in a typical log house for a stay at the heart of nature in a magnificent and wild environment along the banks of the majestic Saguenay fjord and river. A number of activities are proposed: short or long walks, observation and interpretation, excursions sea kayaking or cycling (fees apply). Your guide will assist in making your stay here both enjoyable and comfortable while providing information about the cultural and environmental features of the area. Excellent meals cooked in the chalet in the fully equipped kitchen.

Day 5 - Tadoussac and its whales!
Hearty breakfast cooked at the chalet. Scenic drive towards Tadoussac. Equipped with a dry-suit, we go whale watching in a Zodiac-type boat on the St-Lawrence River. A typical buffet lunch will be served in Tadoussac when we return. After lunch we will explore the village including a visit to the Marine Mammals Interpretation Center and the Chauvin Trading Post. We will be back to our cottage in the forest near the river scenery in the evening. We will then cook an excellent dinner in the cottage.

Days 6 and 7 - Log cabin stay and nature walks in the Jacques Cartier Park
After a hearty breakfast we drive towards the Rivière Jacques Cartier National Park travelling through the southern part of the Reserve des Laurentides (not to be confused with the Laurentians region, north-west of Montreal, an area we visit towards the end of our trip). This national park is one of Quebec's natural treasures! Its main attraction is undoubtedly the river running through its main valley. According to most expert canoers and kayaker, it is one of the most beautiful rivers of Canada. During these two days, different outdoors & nature activities are proposed: canoeing down the river with your guide (instructor and certified river guide), hiking on beautiful trails (easy & short or intermediary trails, depending on your preference), swimming, interpretation and observation of nature and wildlife or simply relaxing in a natural typically Canadian environment near a river winding between the valley walls covered with a dense mixed forest. In the evening, by the fire, your guide may tell you the legends of the locals and natives and perhaps introduce you to astronomy. We stay here in a rustic chalet near the River or in large tents (depending on the availability of the chalets when the tour confirms). From here we can also arrange a visit to the Huron village of Wendake, it is usually much appreciated (it's not a tourists trap, rest assured!).

Day 8 - Quebec to Toronto national flight, City of Toronto
This morning, after breakfast, we transfer back to Quebec City. The flight from Quebec to Toronto will take a part of the day, it may go through Montreal. Once in Toronto, we will do an evening guided exploration of the Canadian metropolis, including the CN tower and an evening meal in town.
