The communications were excellent, and we were very impressed that the arrangements (confirmation of tour, procurement of airline tickets and travel insurance) were made in such short order. The one-stop shopping was great! The information on the tour (the package) provided was excellent. A friend of mine who is a travel agent said she was very impressed, as were we.

We had the pleasure of having Federico as our guide. It would not be possible to say enough about his qualities in terms of knowledge of CR and ability to find animals and birds including being able to generate animal and bird calls that could not be distinguished from that of the actual animals and birds (and they felt the same). He was also entertaining, fun, engaging and extremely accommodating. Five star plus!

In addition, he has wide experience and knowledge in other areas, a constant source of conversation, information and pleasure. Finally, he took extremely good care of us, going out of his way to make things perfect. [...]

All other boat captains, zip-line operators, rafting guides, etc. were superb. Very competent staff, informed, helpful, knowledgeable and instilled confidence. Excellent and well chosen.

Loved the entire thing. [...] The range of sites, climates, topography, landscape and altitudes was immensely rewarding. The program was intense but not overly. Always something of interest, but with enough downtime. Very well planned, and the opportunity to see quite a lot of the country And be away from the crowds!

Lodgings and restaurants exceeded all expectations. Excellent! Sometimes the term "charming inns" may be a code for tacky, but in all cases during this tour we were very impressed and surprised. Beds always comfortable, Staff were universally helpful, charming and willing to do all to make things go well. [...]

Having a lot of experience travelling in Africa, I was personally shocked and very pleasantly surprised to see the high quality and performance of the vehicles provided. The driver was excellent, as was the vehicle.

Food in lodgings was great and varied. Choice of restaurants and meals excellent and our guide ensured that I had extra avocado or guacamole, a particular favourite of mine, at every occasion possible!

It is difficult for me to indicate how excellent this tour was. Everything was perfect and I would have to say it was the vacation of a lifetime. [...] I will do all I can to promote your company and your services!

The park rangers are continuously monitoring the volcanoes activity and upon arrival at the ranger station they will inform visitors which trail is open. An early morning bird watching tour is available every day at 6h00 before breakfast. Inform your tour guide if you are interested. After lunch at the lodge we visit the Sarapiqui Conservation Learning Center (SCLC) located on the grounds of Selva Verde for an overview of this project. Your guide may be able to organize a meeting with the researchers and volunteers working at the center in order to provide an insight in their world. Excellent local artwork can also be purchased at the end of the visit. Free afternoon; explore the surroundings – together with your naturalist guide or on your own, relax or choose one of the optional activities proposed by the lodge such as rafting or kayaking on Sarapiqui River and horseback riding expeditions in the nearby region (additional fees apply). Your tour guide will be happy to assist you in organizing such activities. Supper and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8. La Paz Gardens, San Jose
Optional morning wildlife watching tour in the reserve. Filling breakfast and scenic drive towards the capital via Vara Blanca. We will visit on our way to the capital the amazing La Paz Waterfall Gardens where we experience lush rainforests, majestic waterfalls, fluttering butterflies and whimsical hummingbirds. The song of the Resplendent Quetzal, in it's magical fly, is a sample of the exuberant biodiversity that lives in this very special and unique area.

Days 10. Cerro de la Muerte / San Gerardo de Dota
A full day in this beautiful and peaceful environment is very appreciated by the nature lover. Explore the region with your guide , choose one of the numerous active adventures proposed or simply relax at the lodge and enjoy !

Overnight in a charming jungle eco-lodge in Drake Bay.

Day 12 and 13. Corcovado National Park
(Optional dive tour to Isla del Cano Biological Reserve)
